Oastbrook’s harvest 2020 has been one of the most exciting times of the year here in Bodiam, with lots to look forward to from harvest time… and lots to add to our existing line up Sparkling Rosé 2014, Sparkling Rosé 2015, and Pinot Gris 2018
Oastbrook's Harvest

We’ve completed our Oastbrook harvest, having worked hard over the last few weeks to pick our most recent grapes. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to help us out this year, and we can’t wait to reveal our latest bottles in 2021.
What Have We Been Harvesting?

We’re thrilled to have picked the first of our still Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir. These will accompany our already award-winning range of Sparkling Rosé and Pinot Gris, expanding the line-up to include richer, deeper, darker reds.
Onsite Winemaking

In our winery, Nick and America have begun the next phases of the winemaking process. Once picked, the grapes are crushed, pressed, fermented, racked, and bottled, right here at the estate. By having all we need in one place, we can ensure that everything remains seamless and consistent.
The Impact of Climate Change

We have a unique microclimate in the Rother Valley, and like many UK vineyards, we’ve felt the effects of increasingly warming temperatures. This summer followed the trend, with the top temperature of 34.9°C recorded here on July 31st; in spite of unpredictable patterns in the elements, this has allowed our Pinot Noir grapes to flourish.
Expanding Our Portfolio

We couldn’t be more excited to add Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier to the Oastbrook family. There’s still a while to wait until their release, but in the meantime, there’s plenty of our Sparkling Rosé 2014, Sparkling Rosé 2015, and Pinot Gris 2018 available now on the shop.
